Almanor Regional Transportation Assessment /ARTA
The ARTA is a long-range planning document that will identify the transportation system improvements needed to accommodate the area’s growing popularity.
The Almanor Basin lies in both Lassen nd Plumas Counties, with beautiful Lake Almanor at the center. Surrounded by natural forests, the Basin encompasses a number of small communities whose population more than doubles during the summer months. The Almanor Basin continues to develop and grow as more people discover its untouched beauty.
In order to maintain mobility and safety for the residents of this area, Lassen County, Plumas County, Tehama County, the U.S. Forest Service, and Caltrans District 2 are working together to create ARTA - the Almanor Regional Transportation Assessment.
