- Pedestrian Signal Survey
- Caltrans, in cooperation with the City of Redding, is testing an experimental pedestrian signal to determine if it improves motorists awareness of those using crosswalks. Yellow LED lights will be added to the border of standard signal heads. The lights will activate when the pedestrian hits the call button and will stay on until the red, flashing hand appears. The proposed modification would alert those turning right that a pedestrian is about to cross their path and those turning left that a pedestrian is in an adjacent crosswalk. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
