SR-57 Northbound Widening Project

Off-peak daytime and nighttime ramp closures and lane reductions will occur from Katella Avenue to Yorba Linda Boulevard as crews conduct electrical work and reconstruct ramps and work on the mainline.

The SR-57 Northbound Widening Project will add a new 8-mile lane from Katella Avenue in Anaheim to Lambert Road in Brea, as well as widen the existing lanes and shoulders. The project is intended to improve mobility, facilitate the movement of goods and enhance safety on the 57 Freeway.

  • 10/4/15 - Closure of SB SR-57 Connector to EB SR-91
  • SR-91 Lane Extension and Reconstruction Project at Tustin Ave (January 2014 - Summer 2017)
    Once complete, motorists traveling northbound on SR-55 to the westbound SR-91 connector will have an option to exit Tustin Avenue using the new exit only bypass lane north of the connector, or the general purpose lane.

  • SR-91 Pavement Rehab Project
    The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) began a Capital Prevention Maintenance Strategy Project on State Route 91 in the cities of La Palma, Buena Park, Fullerton and Anaheim in July 2012. The Construction cost is $15.3 million. The project limits are from the Los Angeles County Line to Lakeview Avenue Overcrossing.
  • Westbound 91 Widening Project (Between SR-57 and I-5)
    The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), in partnership with Caltrans, will be adding a new, four-mile westbound general purpose to State Route 91 between State Route 57 and Interstate 5 in late Spring or early Summer 2013. The new lane will increase capacity, improve driving operations and reduce traffic congestion
