Closures Postponed This Week For SR-905
SAN DIEGO – The closures on State Route 905 (SR-905) for this week have been postponed due to weather. The one-day closure is scheduled for Monday, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Construction crews will close the SR-905 eastbound on-ramp and westbound off-ramp at La Media Road for striping and concrete barrier placement. The SR-905 eastbound off-ramp to La Media Road will remain open.
Partial lane closures remain effective in both directions on SR-905 between La Media and Siempre Viva Roads with one lane open during the same time period.
The work is part of Segment One of the SR-11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project which will help relieve traffic congestion and shorten wait times at the Otay Mesa and San Ysidro Ports of Entry. The cost of the first segment is $112 million and is expected to be completed in 2015.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and safely move over a lane when Caltrans or other emergency vehicles are displaying flashing amber lights. It’s the law!
