Reminder: Signs/Banners Illegal On Highway Property
SAN DIEGO –The public is reminded that it is illegal to place signs and banners along state highway property, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
Signs and banners often obstruct highway signs and can limit motorists’ visibility at ramps and intersections, creating a hazardous situation.
Maintenance crews remove the illegal signs and keep them for a short while before unclaimed signs are discarded.
