I-5/SR-56 Interchange Project Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement

WHO:

California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Interstate 5 (I-5) and State Route 76 Corridor Director Allan Kosup.

WHAT:

Caltrans is proposing four improvement options, plus a no build alternative, to improve access between southbound I-5 to eastbound State Route 56 (SR-56), and between eastbound SR-56 to northbound I-5 in San Diego. Beginning Friday, May 18 the I-5/SR-56 Interchange Project Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement will be available for public review. Kosup and other Caltrans officials will be on hand to answer media question about potential project impacts including visual/aesthetics, cultural resources, paleontology, noise, and natural communities. A public meeting is planned for June 13 at 6 p.m. at the Del Mar Hills Academy in Del Mar.
