Emergency Closure on Westbound SR-78
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled an emergency closure of the number one lane, also known at the fast lane, on westbound State Route 78 just east of the El Camino Real off-ramp.
Caltrans Maintenance crews have been dispatched to a possible sink hole in freeway median near El Camino Real. The crew will need to close the lane to perform an investigation.
The closure is expected to begin shortly after 5 p.m. and it is unknown when the lane will be re-open.
