Full Freeway Closures to Resume Tuesday on Eastbound State Route 78 in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO – Drainage repair work on eastbound lanes on State Route 78 (SR-78) between El Camino Real and Plaza Drive in Oceanside will resume Tuesday with full freeway closures scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights from 10 until 5 the next morning. According to Caltrans, the westbound lanes are not affected.

Motorists will be detoured to exit eastbound SR-78 at El Camino Real, turn left to cross over the freeway, then right on Vista Way, right on College Boulevard, and left onto Plaza Drive to eastbound SR-78.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and move over a lane when it is safe to do so whenever highway workers are present with flashing amber lights on their vehicles.
