Eastbound I-8 Closed Tonight El Cajon to Alpine

SAN DIEGO – California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) crews will close eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) from Dunbar Lane/Harbison Canyon Road in El Cajon to Tavern Road in Alpine beginning tonight at 11 until 5 Tuesday morning.

The closure is needed for a California Highway Patrol traffic investigation.

Motorists traveling on eastbound I-8 will be detoured onto Old Highway 80/Alpine Boulevard at Dunbar Lane/Harbison Canyon Road and back onto I-8 at Tavern Road.
