Northbound I-5 Connector to I-8 Closed Sunday Morning

SAN DIEGO – Crews from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to both directions on Interstate 8 (I-8) for electrical work on Sunday morning from 3-7.

Motorists will be detoured to continue on northbound I-5 to SeaWorld Drive to southbound I-5 to eastbound I-8/Camino Del Rio West.

Motorists may take an alternate detour on northbound I-5 to SeaWorld Drive (west), to Sunset Cliffs Boulevard (south) to eastbound I-8.

Travelers are reminded to slow down and safely move over a lane when Caltrans or other emergency vehicles are displaying flashing amber lights. It's the law!
