WHAT:

Caltrans will announce the availability of the Interstate 5 North Coast Corridor (I-5 NCC) Project Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Report/Impact Statement (EIR/EIS). The project is part of a comprehensive package of highway, rail, transit, and environmental protection and coastal access improvements. This document provides additional information on lagoon health and resource enhancements from the draft EIR/EIS that was released in 2010 and affirms the Express Lanes only option (8+4 Buffer Alternative) as Caltrans locally preferred alternative that was announced in July 2011. A public meeting is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at the city of Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas 92024.
