Buckman Springs Rest Area Weekend Closure
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced that the Buckman Springs Rest Area on Interstate 8 in the Cleveland National Forest will be closed beginning Saturday at 7 a.m. through Sunday until 6 p.m. The closure is needed to accommodate a planned power outage by San Diego Gas & Electric for electrical work in the area.
Signs will be posted ahead of time alerting motorists about the weekend closure.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and safely move over a lane when Caltrans or other emergency vehicles are displaying flashing amber lights. It’s the law!
