All Eastbound Lanes of I-8 Closed at I-5 Sunday Morning
SAN DIEGO – Maintenance crews from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close all lanes on eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) at Interstate 5 (I-5) Sunday morning from 3 until 6 to replace overhead signs and paint lane markings.
Travelers will be detoured onto southbound I-5 to the Old Town Avenue exit, cross over the freeway and turn left on Moore Street to northbound I-5 onto eastbound I-8.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and safely move over a lane when Caltrans or other emergency vehicles are displaying flashing amber lights. It’s the law!
