Two Lanes of I-805 Closed for Carroll Canyon Project

SAN DIEGO – Tonight the California Department of Transportation is closing the number one and two lanes of southbound Interstate 805 (I-805) between Sorrento Valley and Mira Mesa boulevards from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The closure is need for excavation work for the I-805 Carroll Canyon Project. When complete the $90.3 million construction project will extend Carroll Canyon Road under I-805. There will also be an HOV lane in each direction along the freeway to and from Interstate 5 to Carroll Canyon Road. The project is expected to be completed by late 2012 or early 2013.
