Media Advisory - New date for news conference to discuss the Move Over Law and its Public Awareness Campaign.
WHAT: Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, this news conference has been rescheduled. Officials from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will hold a news conference to discuss the Move Over Law and its Public Awareness Campaign.

Westbound Interstate 8
6 miles west of El Centro in Imperial County
WHY: Caltrans is launching a campaign to help educate the public about the Move Over law, which requires motorists to move over a lane when safe, when they see Caltrans trucks with flashing amber lights or other emergency vehicles with flashing lights.
VISUALS: A changeable message sign will display the new Move Over message. A Caltrans Maintenance Worker will be available for interviews to talk about close calls working on the freeway.
