Connector Closure from Westbound I-8 to Southbound I-5

SAN DIEGO – Motorists will be detoured around the connector closure from westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) to southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) on Sunday from 3-9 a.m., according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

Signs will be posted directing motorists traveling west on I-8 to take northbound I-5 to SeaWorld Drive west then to southbound I-5.

This closure will allow crews to complete needed bridge work. Some noise is expected.
