Interstate 8/State Route 163 Connector and Hotel Circle South On-Ramp Closed Saturday
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced that maintenance crews will close the connector ramp from eastbound Interstate 8 to southbound State Route-163 this Saturday morning from 5 until 8:30 for attenuator repair. The onramp to eastbound I-8 from Hotel Circle South will also be closed during this time to repair guardrail.
To access southbound SR-163, motorists on eastbound I-8 may exit at Qualcomm Way, cross over the freeway and take I-8 westbound to SR-163 southbound. Motorists on Hotel Circle South may use the Taylor Street on-ramp to access eastbound I-8.
Detour signs will be placed to assist motorists around the closures.
