State Route 67 Construction Moves Forward
SAN DIEGO – Construction crews will be working five consecutive nights on State Route 67 starting Sunday, April 11 to Thursday, April 15 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will close the highway between Prospect and Woodside avenues. A concrete pour is scheduled for Thursday evening at 9 closing Prospect Avenue between Graves and Woodside avenues.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is also closing several on- and off-ramps in the area. Beginning at 8 p.m. the southbound on-ramp from Magnolia Avenue and the northbound on-ramp from Bradley Avenue will close. At 9 p.m. the northbound Prospect Avenue off-ramp and Broadway/Graves Avenue on-ramp will close. All the closures will reopen daily at 5 a.m.
The work is part of the SR-52 Sunny Side Gateway project that is scheduled to be completed by spring 2011.
Crews will place detour signs to assist motorists around the closures.
