Full Closures Continue on State Route 67
SAN DIEGO – Nighttime closures of State Route 67 between Prospect and Woodside avenues will continue Monday through Thursday from 9 until 5 the next morning. Construction crews will also close the southbound on-ramp from Magnolia Avenue and the northbound on-ramp from Bradley Avenue beginning an hour earlier at 8.
The northbound Prospect Avenue off-ramp and Broadway/Graves Avenue on-ramp will also be closed from 9 each night until 5 in the morning, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). Motorists from westbound Interstate 8 needed access to northbound SR-67 will be detoured to Graves Avenue and follow the signs to the Woodside Avenue on-ramp to northbound SR-67.
The closures will allow workers to erect frames for the new ramp that will connect northbound SR-67 to the westbound lanes of the new SR-52 highway currently under construction.
The work is part of the SR-52 Sunny Side Gateway project scheduled to be completed by spring 2011.
