Interstate 5 Closed in National City
SAN DIEGO – All lanes of north and southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) in National City are closed between Civic Center Drive and State Route 54 (SR-54) due to a downed power line. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
Northbound motorists will be detoured to eastbound SR-54 and southbound motorists will be detoured via Civic Center Drive. It is not known at this time when the freeway will reopen.
