Extended Closure on I-805 in the South Bay
SAN DIEGO – Construction crews from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be closing the number one lane (fast lane) of southbound Interstate 805 between the 8th Street undercrossing in National City to just south of the Bonita Road off-ramp Wednesday night at 9 to Thursday at 12 noon. The extended closure is considered a safety issue and allows construction crews to remove and repave from this section of the freeway.
The work is part of the I-805 Southbound Auxiliary Lane Project, scheduled for completion later this year.
