Northbound Interstate 15 Closed Four Nights at Poway Road/Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard
SAN DIEGO – Northbound Interstate 15 (I-15) will be closed for four nights and a detour will be in place beginning Monday at the Poway Road/Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard bridge, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The closure will be in place each night, weather permitting, from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Motorists traveling north on I-15 during this time will be detoured east on Poway Road to north on Sabre Springs Parkway to west on Ted Williams Parkway onto northbound I-15.
These closures will allow our crews to erect temporary support beams necessary to continue reconstructing the south side of this bridge as part of the I-15 Express Lanes Project. Bridge work may be noisy but must be done at night to avoid disrupting daytime traffic.
