Caltrans to Host SR-76 East Public Meeting Thursday
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be hosting a “Open House” style public meeting for the State Route 76 (SR-76) South Mission Road to Interstate 15 (I-15) Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (document) on Thursday.
Public participation is vital in the review of this document. This is their opportunity to provide comments on potential impacts and review all the proposed alternatives. Caltrans will then review and respond to all substantive comments to become part of the final environmental document.
The meeting will be at the Bonsall Community Center at 31505 Old River Road on from 5 - 8 p.m.
The public is encouraged to attend and discuss questions and concerns with engineers, noise and traffic specialists and property agents. Along with a comment table, Caltrans is providing a court reporter for those who wish to leave a verbal comment. The comment period ends Nov. 2 and can be emailed to Debra_Soifer@dot.ca.gov or mailed to the Caltrans District Office at 4050 Taylor Street. San Diego 92110.
The document is available online at http://www.keepsandiegomoving.com/home.aspx. CDs of the document are free and available at the Caltrans District Office in Old Town San Diego or by mail. For more information call the Caltrans Public Information Office at (619) 688-6670.
