Caltrans Releases SR-76 East Draft Environmental Document
SAN DIEGO – On Friday the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will release the State Route 76 (Sr-76) East Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (document) for public review. Caltrans is proposing to widen SR-76 from South Mission Road to Interstate 15.

Caltrans has been working with the Federal Highway Administration and other federal, state and local agencies to develop the document and is looking for the public’s substantive comments to become part of the final document scheduled to be released in approximately 24 months.
Comments will be accepted for the next 45 days until Oct. 15. Caltrans will be holding one ‘Open House Style’ meeting at the Bonsall Community Center at 31505 Old River Road on Thursday, Sept. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. Staff engineers, noise and traffic specialists along with property agents will be on hand to speak with local residents.
Hard copies of the document will be located at the Fallbrook, Vista and Oceanside libraries, and at the Caltrans District Office at 4050 Taylor Street in San Diego.
