Caltrans District 5 Bicycle Map
The Bicycle Map shows on which District 5 state highways bicycles are and are not allowed. For those sections of highway where bicycles are not allowed, alternative routes are illustrated. The Bicycle Map can be downloaded (Adobe PDF format, 3 MB) and printed on standard letter-size paper. Transit

 

Intercity Rail

Amtrak California provides rail service and thruway bus connections between cities in California. It is managed and coordinated by the Caltrans Division of Rail. The Pacific Surfliners and San Joaquins serve areas within the district. In addition, Amtrak’s interstate Coast Starlight operates along the coast and connects California to the rest of the country.
