Early Education Center | "Tiny Dots"

Tiny Dots

The Center was designed by Morphosis Architects and built by Clark Construction. The Center opened in May 2005. It offers spacious rooms for 12 infants, 24 toddlers and 32 preschoolers as well as a large 7900 square foot outdoor play area. Clark Construction donated all the appliances and the outside play equipment. Thank you Clark Construction!

The Center was established by a Board of state employees who selected Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles (CDCLA), the provider that best qualified to meet the needs of our future leaders.

This Center provides a safe, nurturing and educational environment in which children can grow, develop and learn.

Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles

Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles (CDCLA), is a private, non-profit agency founded in 1978 which operates a total of 6 Child Development Centers in Los Angeles. We provide a safe, emotionally nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for young children, while also responding to the needs of families. Each child’s developmental level is evaluated and a plan is designed to help each child grow and learn.

Tiny DOTS Early Childhood Education Center uses a HighScope Curriculum:

HighScope's educational approach emphasizes “active participatory learning.” Active learning means students have direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events, and ideas. Children’s interests and choices are at the heart of HighScope programs. They construct their own knowledge through interactions with the world and the people around them. Children take the first step in the learning process by making choices and following through on their plans and decisions. Teachers, caregivers, and parents offer physical, emotional, and intellectual support. In active learning settings, adults expand children’s thinking with diverse materials and nurturing interactions.

Tiny DOTS Early Childhood Education Center is NAEYC accredited school:

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the largest nonprofit association in the United States representing early childhood education teachers, paraeducators, center directors, trainers, college educators, families of young children, policy makers, and advocates. NAEYC is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high-performing and inclusive organization.

Tiny DOTS is always looking for ways to support our teachers and the center. We are a non-profit organization and would appreciate any donations. You may donate your time, toys, books, or money.

If you would like to make a donation to the Tiny DOTS Education Center, please make checks payable to TinyDOTs and drop it off at the center with the Director or mail it in.
