Lane Closures Begin Tonight at SR-67 Dye Road/Highland Valley Road Intersection
SAN DIEGO—Construction crews will close lanes on State Route 67 (SR-67) at the Dye Road/Highland Valley Road intersection in Ramona tonight, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pavement grinding, according to Caltrans.
The lane closure will include one-way traffic control and will slow traffic movement through the intersection. Signs will be posted ahead of the intersection to alert motorists.
On Tuesday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., motorists can expect lane closures and one-way traffic control on Dye Road and Highland Valley Road near the SR-67 intersection as crews install vehicle detection loops into the pavement.
Nighttime lane closures will continue on SR-67 Wednesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., also to install vehicle detection loops. One-way traffic control will not be needed Wednesday and Thursday nights and traffic impacts are expected to be minimal.
The work is part of the SR-67 Dye Road/Highland Valley Road Improvement Project which began construction in May 2016 and is nearing completion. Crews are finishing work on the Equestrian Trail and will spray hydroseed along the intersection slopes to help protect the soil from surface erosion. Night work for roadway striping will also be scheduled.
Caltrans thanks the community for its patience during the construction activities.
