Nighttime Work on State Route 67, Dye Road and Highland Valley Road Begins Tonight
SAN DIEGO——Construction crews will close lanes on State Route 67, Highland Valley Road and Dye Road in Ramona tonight and Thursday night from 7 until 5 in the morning as part of paving preparation on the State Route 67 (SR-67) Dye Road/Highland Valley Road Improvement Project.
Lane closures will continue Sunday through Thursday, Aug. 31 during the same hours for paving and striping.
At least one lane will remain open during work activities. Personnel with flags will be onsite to help direct motorists through the construction zone when one-way traffic control is in place.
Motorists may experience traffic delays during the lane closures. The work will be noisy at times due to grinding activities, heavy equipment movement and back-up alarms.
Construction on the SR-67 Dye Road/Highland Valley Road Improvement Project began in May 2016 and is nearing completion. The project widened SR-67 at the intersection from one to two through lanes in each direction and constructed additional turn lanes on SR-67 to better accommodate commercial trucks and improve traffic flow. Other improvements include adding an equestrian trail along Dye and Highland Valley roads, push button pedestrian and equestrian crossings, upgraded concrete curb ramps compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and updated drainage. Plant establishment will continue for another year with no traffic impacts.
