  • Strategic Direction Group
    • Purpose and Goal
      • The Caltrans Improvement Project is a result of the recent State Smart Transportation Institute review of the department.  The Strategic Direction Group (SDG), along with five workgroups, will address recommendations on performance management and human resources, smart investment and resource alignment, strategic partnerships, innovation, flexibility and risk management, and communication. The SDG will provide overall direction of this effort, guidance on the workgroup plans and approval for outcomes of each recommendation to address the overall project objectives.

      • 3.2 CalSTA should provide leadership and oversight in implementing the mission and vision and the recommendations of this study.
