One-Way Traffic Control
State Routes 49 & 88

Amador County The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 49 (SR-49) and SR-88 for maintenance and construction operations.  Work to occur as follows;

State Route 49

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control at the Mokelumne River Bridge (Amador/Calaveras County line) for bridge work through October 11, 2024.

 

State Route 88

  • Moving closure from Dalton Road to the Amador/Alpine County line for striping work beginning Monday, May 13, through Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Prevalti Road to East Molofino Road for tree work beginning Tuesday, May 14, through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Dew Drop Road to Omo Ranch Road for tree work on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from 6,000-foot Elevation Marker to Mehrten Springs Road for tree work on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Mehrten Springs Road to Peddler Hill Road for tree work beginning Wednesday, May 15, through Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

 

Motorists should expect five to 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
